Decarbonization and agricultural fertilizers via a zero-waste technology
Hristo Kovachki met with Neil Bush and his global advisors, who are working to help reduce world’s carbon emissions. The American company PANGEA, in cooperation with the Chinese company JET, has accumulated significant experience in limiting emissions from conventional power plants. Their technological solutions have achieved over a 70% reduction in greenhouse gases.
While the technology is new to Bulgaria, it is well known and established globally. This zero-waste technology brings high added value – it helps generate clean energy and produces fertilizers for agriculture as a byproduct of the decarbonization process.
Neil Bush is also the founder and chairman of the foundation named after his father, U.S. President George Herbert Walker Bush, the George H. W. Bush Foundation for U.S.-China Relations, which works for the development of U.S.-China relations and is well-known for its philanthropic and charitable activities around the world.
During the meeting the participants discussed the benefits of introducing the advanced technology in Bulgarian power plants, several of which have already expressed interest. The innovation offers a highly effective solution for achieving a smoother energy transformation.
“Neil Bush in collaboration with Dan Biz and Chao Lee provide a workable solution for Bulgarian coal plants. What’s more, this innovative technology captures emissions by means of ammonium sulphate generates a byproduct – fertilizer. This means the plants can simultaneously produce clean energy and provide fertilizers for agriculture – a reboot for the energy sector and added value for agriculture. I hope that more Bulgarian plants will benefit from the expertise offered by these world-renowned companies. This remarkable opportunity can give new vision to Bulgaria’s energy sector, support sustainable development, and continue to ensure system stability,” said Hristo Kovachki.
Following this meeting, Hristo Kovachki reached an agreement with PANGEA and JET to consult on a pilot project at a Bulgarian power plant. “It was an honor to earn the trust of such experienced and globally recognized companies – leaders in climate technology integration. I hope this meeting marks just the first step in a long-term partnership,” Kovachki added.
